Mode Field Adapter (MFA) (Backward Version)
Neptec’s high-power, 1×1 Mode Field Adaptor (MFA) is designed specifically for fiber laser applications. A MFA tapers two different fibers with different numerical apertures and core diameters together to effectively contract the mode field. Neptec’s fiber tapering expertise allow its MFA’s to keep insertion loss and beam quality degradation to a minimum.
As with all of Neptec’s products, Neptec’s MFAs can be custom designed and manufactured for any specific application. If the standard MFA below does not fit your application, we would be glad to review your specifications and quote a custom MFA for you.
