As the demand for next-generation 400 gigabit applications grows, SENKO Advanced Components has developed the SN connector in collaboration with the QSFP MSA, an industry group of transceiver manufacturers. At Neptec, we specialize in distributing and custom engineering SN connectors, including SN jumpers and SN to LC breakout cables.

Superior Performance and Design
The SN connector outperforms traditional LC connectors with better insertion loss and return loss, thanks to its compact design. It features two LC-style(1.25-mm) ferrules in a single housing, spaced just 3.1 mm apart, allowing for four connectors (eight fibers) in one transceiver. In an LC duplex, these would be 6.25 mm apart. This supports high-density environments and breakout applications without needing fan-out cables.
Key Advantages
SN connectors offer a 40% increase in density compared to LC solutions, making them ideal for 400G break-out applications. They enable direct patching in QSFP-DD/OSFP without separate fan-outs. Unlike MPO connectors, SN connectors are easier to clean and deploy, offering durability and space-saving benefits.
The SN connector is a reliable choice for modern fiber optic networks, providing superior performance, ease of use, and efficiency. As data transmission demands continue to rise, the SN connector is well-positioned to meet these needs.
